Associations

In 1947, Joe M. Clarke founded Clarke Veneers and Plywood with the purpose of supplying veneers to a rapidly growing furniture industry in the economic boom that followed World War II.  In 1954, Joe’s son, Holden M. Clarke, joined the company.  By the end of the decade the company had begun to focus on two important industries: cut-to-size veneers for the furniture industry and stock panel veneers for the hardwood plywood industry.

 

Today Clarke Veneers and Plywood continues to serve both of these industries with veneers sourced from excellent mills in North America, Asia, Africa and South America.
